ADA & Paratransit Available in Winter Park


The Lift is committed to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation to all persons within our service area. Our ADA service is free door-to-door for all eligible riders 7 days a week, 7am – 2am. Those interested in using ADA service must apply through the forms below.

Who is eligible?

Paratransit service is provided for customers who are unable, because of their disability, to use accessible fixed route buses. Both residents and visitors may use the service, but have different application processes.

Residents

Residents, or those who will be in the area for more than 21 days, must ask their health care provider or disability specialist to complete a Professional Verification of Disability form. An in-person interview and assessment may be required before eligibility can be determined or renewed. Eligibility is good for three years before renewal is required.

Visitors

Once you know you’ll be visiting Winter Park, please call 970.726.4163. Then, a short visitor eligibility form will need to be completed to provide basic information so we can best serve you. Visitor eligibility is good for 21 days. After that point, a standard eligibility form must be completed.

The Lift is committed to providing service to individuals of all capabilities and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and FTA requirements, riders with disabilities may request that The Lift make reasonable modifications regarding changes, exceptions or adjustments to our rules, policies, practices, and procedures. Title VI

The Town of Winter Park operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, national origin or disability in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990(ADA). Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the Town of Winter Park.
