A Microtransit Program in Winter Park

Launching June 15, 2026, The Lift Flex is a FREE on-demand ridesharing service that can be used by residents, community members, and visitors for door-to-door transportation needs throughout Winter Park.

The Lift Flex runs from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. every day of the week during the summer.

Hours and service area will change in the winter of 2026.

  • 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

  • In Summer, the service area encompasses the the Town of Winter Park including Park side at Winter Park Resort. It does not include the base of the Jane. Beginning Winter Service, service will be in the West Side of Town only.

  • The pilot program is being funded through a Colorado Department of Transportation Clean Transit Enterprise Grant and a Grand County Community Priorities Grant.

  • During the summer months, anywhere within Winter Park that is not serviced by the Black Line. This service is not currently available in Fraser.

    During the winter months, it will pick up riders anywhere on the west side of town and drop them off at Cooper Creek Square to connect to the Black Line.

    This is door-to-door service, so at this time, you can be picked up at your door (assuming the bus can get to your door) and dropped off at your door.

  • When possible, rides will pool, meaning multiple passengers may be picked up during your ride.

  • The maximum wait time is expected to be 20 minutes. Once the 20-minute wait time is exceeded, a message will be displayed letting riders know there are no available rides at that time.

  • Microtransit buses will be smaller buses, identical to the buses used for the Night Lift. Microtransit buses will have a logo saying The Lift Flex and the destination sign on the top of the buses will read the Lift Flex.

  • The app will show:

    • How close the driver is

    • Estimated wait times

    • A map of where you can be picked up and dropped off

  • When wait times exceed 20-minutes for riders, the app may display that no rides are available. We encourage riders to check again after 10-20 minutes to see if service is available.
